Poor Louie, Lucky Us

I got some MORE new beer in this week so like a little kid with a shiny new toy I had to try it out right away! I’m sure most of our Milwaukee friends are familiar with the Milwaukee Ale House. What most of you may not know is that you can buy their bottled beer. If were aware of this, act like you weren’t… it will make me feel better. Just look for the Milwaukee Brewing Company label. Today in the Blatz Cave, you can find “Pull Chain Pail Ale”, “Flamming Damsel Real Blonde” and today’s special, “Louie’s Demise Immort-Ale.”

Considering this beer was inspired by a bar fight, which confirms my theory that I’m probably the motivation for a variety of different beers. However, none of my bar fights have ended with someone dying… Let alone someone else taking the beer out of the dying mans hand’s and toasting to him. Which, according to legend, is sadly how Louie met his demise.

While I don’t condone violence I am totally OK with it as long as the result is a beer this good. Louie’s Demise is a rich amber color ale, with great flavor of hops and a smooth finish. You can certainly put a few of these back in a row without feeling like you just left the all-you-can-eat buffet. If you don’t believe me come in and grab a six pack. Just one of these brews will cost you $6 at the Ale House — Here you can get a 6 pack for $7.99!
